Cookies Policy
Last reviewed:
FootyBite uses cookies and similar storage technologies for a small set of operational purposes. This page explains what they are, what we use them for, and how to refuse them.
What we use
- Essential cookies — set by our content delivery network to maintain a session, deliver pages over HTTPS, and detect abusive traffic. These cannot be refused without breaking the site.
- Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics 4 to count visits and measure which articles are read. These cookies do not identify you personally; they record aggregate counts.
- Advertising cookies — set by third-party advertising networks when ads are present on a page. These cookies may track you across the wider web for ad-targeting purposes. We do not set them ourselves.
How to refuse
You can refuse non-essential cookies through your browser’s cookie controls or through a browser extension that blocks third-party cookies. Refusing analytics and advertising cookies does not affect your ability to read the site.
We do not run a cookie consent banner because we do not believe one is meaningfully consent-giving. We do not target advertising based on profile data we collect ourselves; the third-party ad network we use may do so independently. If you want a perfectly clean session, use a private window with third-party cookies blocked.
Updates
This policy is reviewed annually and on any change to our analytics or advertising provider.
