Privacy Policy
Last reviewed:
FootyBite operates as a static publishing site. We do not run user accounts, do not run a commenting system, and do not collect personal data through forms. This policy describes the limited data we do collect, why, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
- Server access logs — your IP address, user agent and referring URL are recorded by our content delivery network and origin server in operational logs. These logs are retained for 30 days and used to detect abusive traffic and to diagnose technical issues.
- Aggregate analytics — Google Analytics 4 collects anonymous browsing data, including pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type and referring source. We use this to understand which articles are read and to plan future coverage.
- Email correspondence — if you email [email protected] or [email protected], we retain the email thread for as long as the conversation is active and for two years afterwards as a record.
What we do not collect
We do not collect names, addresses, payment details, demographic profiles or precise location data. We do not run user accounts. We do not sell or share any data we hold beyond the cases listed below.
Data sharing
We share aggregate analytics data with Google Analytics under their standard terms. We share IP addresses with our content delivery network (Cloudflare) for the operational purposes described above. We do not share data with any other third party.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EU, you have the right under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, to request its deletion, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (UK) or your national supervisory authority.
If you are in California, you have similar rights under the CCPA.
For any privacy request, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
Updates
This policy is reviewed annually and on any change to our analytics or advertising provider.
